Joy Elaine Praznik Sweeney is a graduate of the Cleveland institute of Art with a major in Painting. She joined the Creative Department of American Greetings Corporation, and her career there followed a steady progression of responsiblity and influence. She became the first elected female vice-president of the coporation. After 35 years of service, she retired and returned to the Cleveland Institue of Art for advanced studies.
She remains involved with C.I.A. and serves on the Board of Directors and several board committees.
J. Praznik produces art in oil, watercolor, ceramics, print media and photography. Her work has been represented in museums and galleries from Alaska to Florida and is in many private and corporate collections throughout the U.S. and many foreign countries.
J. Praznik's studio is located at 1990 Fulton Road in Cleveland, Ohio and is open by appointment.
